From brief to delivery, one clear process.
Each project moves through a defined series of stages, with key decisions held at the right moments and everything between them managed by The School Standard.
Six stages, start to finish.
Project brief
What begins as an idea, requirement or intake is translated into a clear project brief, defining what is being made, who it is for, what it needs to achieve and the practical requirements around it.
Direction
From the brief, we develop the product direction we recommend: the overall approach, materials, colour, detailing and the thinking that holds it together.
Development
Once the direction is agreed, the product is resolved in detail, from fabric, fit and construction through artwork, trims, decoration and the right manufacturing route.
Sample
The product then moves into sampling. A physical piece is developed, reviewed and refined so the final result can be assessed in hand before production begins.
Final specification & production
With the sample resolved, final materials, sizing, quantities, artwork and delivery requirements are confirmed. The approved specification becomes the basis for production, which we manage through completion.
Delivery
Production is followed through freight, logistics and final delivery to the school, with the project documentation and history kept together through completion.
Four sign-offs keep the project moving. The work between them stays with us.
One project.
One place.
Directions, revisions, samples, approvals and documents stay together in the Client Portal.
