Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of The School Standard website, including our catalogue request forms, Project Intake, Client Portal and other website features.
By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
About The School Standard
The School Standard is a school merchandise and product-development agency based in British Columbia, Canada.
The information presented on this website is intended to introduce our services, process, capabilities and selected work.
Use of this website does not by itself create a client relationship, project engagement, partnership or other professional relationship with The School Standard.
A project becomes an active engagement only when the applicable project terms, scope, pricing and approvals have been agreed between The School Standard and the client.
Website information
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this website accurate and current.
However, website content is provided for general information and may be updated, changed or removed without notice.
Product descriptions, materials, colours, finishes, processes, timelines and other information shown on the website or in the catalogue are illustrative unless specifically confirmed as part of an active project.
The catalogue
The School Standard catalogue is intended as a source of reference, inspiration and product direction.
It is not a fixed product menu, inventory list or guarantee that a particular product, material, construction, colour, manufacturer or specification will be available for a project.
Products may be adapted, reworked or developed from scratch based on the project brief, quantity, timing, budget, manufacturing requirements and other considerations.
Final specifications, availability and pricing are confirmed separately for each project.
Project Intake
Project Intake allows prospective clients to provide information about a potential project.
Submitting a Project Intake:
- does not obligate The School Standard to accept the project
- does not create a client relationship or contract
- does not guarantee pricing, timing, production capacity or product availability
- does not constitute approval to begin manufacturing or incur project costs
Information submitted through Project Intake is used to assess the project and shape the next stage of discussion.
Any project that proceeds will be subject to separate project documentation, approvals and commercial terms.
Project agreements take priority
These Terms of Use apply to the website.
Where a client enters into a separate agreement, proposal, statement of work, production approval, purchase arrangement or other project-specific document with The School Standard, that document will govern the relevant project.
If there is a conflict between these website Terms and an executed project agreement, the project agreement will take priority for that project.
Client Portal
The Client Portal is provided to authorised users associated with active School Standard client projects.
Portal access may include project information such as:
- directions and concepts
- revisions
- samples
- approvals
- specifications
- project documents
- order information
- project history
Portal access is personal to the authorised user and should not be shared with anyone who is not authorised to access the relevant project.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for notifying The School Standard promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or revoke portal access where reasonably necessary for security, account administration or the conclusion of a client relationship.
Approvals
Where project approvals are provided through the Client Portal or another agreed approval method, those approvals may be relied upon by The School Standard in progressing the project.
Clients are responsible for reviewing materials presented for approval carefully and ensuring that the appropriate authorised person provides the approval.
Project-specific terms will govern the effect of approvals, changes following approval and any resulting costs or timeline implications.
Information and materials you provide
When you submit information, files or other materials to The School Standard, you confirm that:
- you are authorised to provide them
- our use of them for the relevant inquiry or project will not violate another person’s rights
- the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
This may include school logos, crests, trademarks, artwork, brand guidelines, photographs, reference imagery and other materials.
You retain ownership of materials that belong to you.
You grant The School Standard permission to use those materials as reasonably necessary to assess, develop, produce and administer the relevant project.
Student information
Our website, Project Intake and Client Portal are intended for school representatives and other adults acting in a professional capacity.
Do not submit student names, photographs, contact details or other personally identifiable student information through these systems.
If student-related information is ever required for a specific project, it must be handled through a separately agreed process.

Submitting an inquiry, requesting the catalogue or completing Project Intake does not guarantee that The School Standard will be able to accept a project.
Project acceptance may depend on factors including scope, timing, production requirements, quantity, capacity and suitability.
We may decline a prospective project at our discretion before an engagement has been agreed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
